  • 04.02.2010 - Italy 2020: Mechanical technologies or tourism?
    • This theme – which will be discussed during the round table that will be held on Friday, 16 April al 11:00 AM in the Sala Italia - explores and reflects on the role of the manufacturing industry which, despite the serious international crisis, has survived the markets' storm and the most unfavourable forecasts. Operators are wondering whether their abundant efforts and desire to go forward with tenacity will be rewarded, or if the fate of the Italian industrial system is already written. Is manufacturing still a productive vocation for Italy, to be defended vigorously and to use as a lever during the recovery, or should we just surrender to a continuously evoked deindustrialization process. The speakers, moderated by Roberto Iotti, Confindustria Communications and Press Manager, will be Enrico Frigerio, Assofond President; Luca Paolazzi, Director of the Confindustria Studies Centre, Stefano Saglia, Undersecretary for Economic Development of Italian Government; client industry representatives.
Results of the foundry industry for 2009 will be presented.
  • 04.02.2010 - What they say about us
    • Chiara Schivalocchi, Copromec: "Metef exhibition has to be absolutely considered for its internationality. It is definitely different from other similar exhibitions worldwide which very often bring together the local demand and offer. Participation to Metef is a must, not only by presenting innovative products but also medium- and long-term projects to offer to enterprises as global corporate solutions already subdivided in more detailed modules. Since the very beginning, our company has never missed a Metef since we believe in the value of this initiative and have at all times had a positive payback: settings of promotion, meeting and dialogue that make people and teams grow on the medium and long term, and, last but not least, direct contracts and meetings with new customers".
  • 04.02.2010 - Metef-Foundeq 2010: official foreign delegations
    • Metef-Foundeq, to be held at the Garda Exhibition Centre on April 14th through 17th, will welcome about 300 professional operators grouped in 30 delegations coming from 25 countries. This great result, deriving from a strenuous promotional programme developed over the last two years, comes from the precious collaboration of the following sector associations: Amafond, Italian Association of the Manufacturers of Machinery and Products for the Foundry Industry, Assomet, Italian Association of the Non Ferrous Metals Industries, with the contribution and support of ICE, National Institute of Foreign Trade.
Despite the difficulties this sector has faced, the 2010 edition of this exhibition is going to be rich in contents and opportunities to meet and discuss with 505 exhibitors, 37% of which are foreign, on a net exhibition ground of about 15,000 square metres, and offering about 40 conventions, meetings, workshops and events.
